To do this, get out all the notes you have made from your research, talking to contacts, and brainstorming your own interests, skills and dreams. To do this, go through each of the previous steps: Step #1 Assess Your Current Situation Your assessment will have shown you which elements of your present job you want to keep and which you want to get rid of. It will also have uncovered your dreams and any new skills you want to learn. And of course, there will be all the practical stuff, like can you afford to retrain and how will the rest of the family adapt to change. Now you have to choose what is possible - for example, if you want to retrain, you might have to do so part time and the whole family might have to cut back on some luxuries.
