SKILLS Introduction / Overview: “Developing Learner Engagement Cards for the Assessment and Feedback of Graduate Attributes / Qualities”. The University of Ulster approved a statement of Graduate Qualities as an optional requirement for the introduction to Section 4. 6 of the HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Record) document. In essence this statement tries to encapsulate those qualities that characterise an Ulster graduate. As they relate to any Ulster graduate they are generic and aspirational until they are related to specific discipline areas. The Career Development Centre at Ulster developed a set of learner engagement cards to help students and academics to: 1) Develop a better understanding of what the graduate qualities were (broke the statement down into individual qualities) 2) Identify opportunities for the development of graduate qualities (checklist) 3) Identify opportunities for the assessment and feedback of graduate qualities 4) Provide resources for academics to
